The new Spanish Grid Code (PO 12.2 and Norma Técnica de Supervisión de la conformidad de los módulos de generación de electricidad según el Reglamento UE 2016/631) requires simulations of power plants to demonstrate compliance. This Project was accomplished performing the following simulations: Power-frequency regulation modes, capability of reactive power modulation at full power and below full power, and reactive power control modes (Q f (U, PF) and Q setpoint). The simulations showed that It was needed to include a capacitor bank to comply with the reactive power requirements. 

Finally, and based on CERE’s observation and simulation report, the developer decided to include the Capacitor bank and the plant was found compliant, being approved on its financial stage.
