Biopic

    Nowadays, and for the last 3 years, he’s been working in CERE as Product Responsible and Project Engineer. He works in different areas of the company, such as: testing data analysis, certification and testing of PV converters and PPCs, FAT inspections, factory inspections, simulation of PV converters and PPCs, and simulation and certification of renewable energies power plants. He oversees the simulation department at CERE.

    He’s been a key person since the beginning of the creation of the simulation department, which is becoming a more and more common requirement of the grid codes worldwide. Countries as Germany, Spain, or UK are already asking for the modelling of components, the validation of these models and the integration of simulated systems to verify the conformity of the systems with the applicable grid codes.

    Actually, Javier is leading the simulation department participating in projects for:

    • Model validation for PV inverters and Power Plant Controllers (PPCs), model evaluation in terms of LVRT response, PQ curves, Active Power support curves according frequency, grid quality, etcetera.
    • System simulation for the evaluation of grid code compliance of full power plants, static and dynamic evaluation in electrical nodes, harmonic evaluation in grid connection points for renewable energies power plants and for the requirements of the different countries’ grid codes, power plant sizing according PQ diagram for CAPEX optimization and renewable energies power plants certification.

    Initially he started in CERE while he was studying for his master’s degree
